Gjakova

We honor Gjakova with a clean, shiny, and pure timepiece. This model begins with the classic eagle set against a 38MM shiny dial, embraced by a golden case and a white Italian genuine leather strap. The classic eagle and logo are engraved on the back case, crown, and buckle.

Located in southwestern part of Dardania, Gjakova has been inhabited since the prehistoric era. During the Ottoman Empire, Gjakova was an important trading center between Shkodra and Constantinople, where the Ottomans invested in religions, education and culture. During the National Awakening Movement, Gjakova intellectuals opened the first Albanian language school in the city in 1840, thus creating an opportunity for the youth to be educated in their native language.

Gjakova and the surrounding villages, were heavily destroyed during the recent war of Dardania, and many atrocities were committed against the Albanian population. One of the most significant sites in Gjakova is The Old Bazaar, lined with shops, which is thought to be the oldest in Dardania. Gjakova is home to some important religious sites; mosques, and churches – coexisting in peace and harmony for centuries. The city is a cultural, intellectual and educational center, with many events, parades, indoor and outdoor activities. Gajokova has especially contributed in the music industry, where “Muzika Gjakovarçe” or (Gjakova Music) is very unique and well known throughout Dardania and beyond.
